Okay, Friends in Albert Lea. This year has been an extremely rough one, I’ve found myself in a place where I now realize I don’t have any real family around me. I don’t want to give my Daughter her first “Thanksgiving with Dad” being her and I alone for the holiday.
So, She and I decided we need to open the house up, invite over anyone who finds themselves alone, or not “celebrating” on the day itself. My Daughter asked me to make a “Beef Heart”, so I am… I’m also making a 3lb meatloaf…
If you would like to come, let me know. either at church, bible-study, or in person around town if you see me. (heck, if you have my number just let me know) Bring a dish to share, or some drinks to share, or something (No alcohol please)
The plan is to Start sitting down around the table by 1 or 2pm, We’ll pray together, and while we eat, we’ll go around the table to give “Thanks” to God for the good things in our life. if you want to continue “hanging out” after food, I’ve got some Dvd’s or games we could play.
